Description

This is my [former] kitchen faucet.I was inspired to find something beautiful in something ugly or mundane.
You can always look at something differently. All you have to do is open you eyes and pay attention the rest comes naturally...

* edit 05/15/06 *
I made a couple of the changes suggested .
All though unfourtunatly based on this picture not the original.
As I have no idea where that is.I will include this version in additional downloads :)

Thats awesome. I always like pictures of water. I like the clearness and crystal effect of the water on the dark background!

Awesome how you can see the air bubble sin the stream so clearly... hee hee..

I can see them dancing!

Stray dots on right remind me of snow. (The water flow does kinda look like ice...)

+5/5 :)

This image is very nice in its simplicity.

When I viewed it first I thought it was Twister, the one you would get if you let the water out of the bath...

I know I'm mad lol

Then I thought it was Ice.......

Wheni read the description I went,, that what it is...

Any way its very good !

Good dynamic shot although there are some things you could have done better: Focus. Focus itself is good but the picture could profit from a bit more DOF (higher F-Number), at least that could be one reason for the inside bubbles being a bit unsharp. the other could be sharpening, here I would recommend you the robertmekis sharpening technique Then the background. Putting something black in the background could have avoided those black/yellow things (don't ask me what it is) and added a bit more "perfectness" to the pic. Furthermore Composition - I would pull the waterstrain a bit more off-centered than it currently is. And last, but not least: compression. I can see the compression here (quadratic breaks at some positions), a slightly higher quality vs. compression would have avoided that. Athough I've critted much here, this is no bad shot, in fact it's really good.. I'm just pointing out everything to help you improve, please don't think as rude or anything.

Did this piece get lost in the crash some weeks ago? I know I've seen/commented on this before...I'm positive...oh well.

I liked it when I first saw it, and I like it now. It almost looks like a solid piece of ice. I have to agree about the background, next time try a black drop cloth or something.. (thumbup)

I think it's so really cool when someone/anyone can look around and find something that captures our imagination - even for a short moment. To catch this moment is awesome...

This one I checked out for about 180 moments. Very, very nice :) Well done Rachael! +9
